JOB TITLE: Inventory/Transportation Specialist

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

DIVISION: Plant Operations

RATE: $20 per hour

Status: Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inventory/Transportation Specialist will be in charge of all ordering, stocking, and updating of hospital supplies. In addition to these duties, all scheduled patient and resident transports will be first priority.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Routinely order, stock, and manage all hospital and Senior Living Center inventory and supplies. 

2. Operate stocking, ordering, and delivery equipment, including freight elevator.

3. Transport all patients and residents to and from scheduled appointments. 

4. Safely transfer and load patients and residents into FWH vehicles based on care level and support needs. 

5. Perform vehicle upkeep as needed. 

6. Demonstrate positive attitude of customer service.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school education; valid driver’s license. Must have acceptable KBI record check.

 

SKILLS:

Clerical aptitude; ability to operate basic tools; knowledge of proper driving procedures. Ability to prioritize work based on immediate needs.​

 

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

Freight elevator, supply carts, basic handheld tools, handicap accessible vehicles.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL/ MENTAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift 50-100# occasionally. Must be able to maintain calm demeanor in face of adversity.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The employee works in an environment with biological, chemical and mechanical hazards. The employer will provide appropriate training, protective equipment and engineering controls for the protection and safety of the employee. As a condition of employment the employee is required to abide by all risk management regulations including the proper use of protective devices and procedures.
