
JOB TITLE: IT Assistant
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

RATE: $15.75 - $22.94 per hour
Status: Part-Time
POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Assistant is responsible for assistance to the IT Manager in daily operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Demonstrate positive attitude of customer service.
​
2. Maintain confidentiality of facility and patient/resident information.​
​
3. Utilize Windows and Microsoft 365 operating systems for daily operations.
​
4. Routinely troubleshoot networks, printers, general computer issues.
​
5. Manage access controls, including video systems and door controls.
​
6. Learn to work as system administrator.
​
7. Run network lines.
​
8. Other systems and duties as needed.
​
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.

​Knowledge of LAN systems.​

​Understanding of firewalls, switches and wireless networks.

Willingness to learn a variety of technical systems. ​
SKILLS:
Familiarity with health care equipment, mechanical knowledge and skills, problem-solving skills, flexibility, basic computer skills.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:
Computer, telephone, fax machine, elevator, dolly, vital sign machines, printer, and all business office and IT equipment.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL/ MENTAL DEMANDS:
Appropriate communication with vendors and co-workers to perform job duties. Dexterity: must be able to bend and stoop and raise arms over head and lift 25-30 pounds, occasionally and 10-20 lbs. regularly, must be able to spend several hours on feet and walking around facility and must be able to stand for hours at a time.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee works in an environment with biological, chemical and mechanical hazards. The employer will provide appropriate training, protective equipment and engineering controls for the protection and safety of the employee. As a condition of employment the employee is required to abide by all risk management regulations including the proper use of protective devices and procedures.
